Babymetal: pronto il debutto

The world has been ruled for many years by the shadowy powers-that-be – the media, politics, the economy, all controlled by mysterious, tyrannical forces. Any music other than the global establishment’s songs were seen as harmful, including heavy metal. Around the world, metalheads prayed for the resurrection of their beloved music. Eventually those prayers reached the ears of the Fox God, who is in charge of the metal world. The Fox God recruited three girls and named them Su-Metal, Yui-Metal and Moa-Metal. They became BABYMETAL – prophets of the Fox God and leaders of the Metal Resistance, dedicated to spreading their unique blend of heavy metal and Kawaii around the world and teaching a generation of music lovers about the magic of metal.
Le BABYMETAL sono uno dei fenomeni musicali mondiali più potenti al mondo. Stanno conquistando e stravolgendo il pianeta come una tempesta.
Nate in Giappone nel 2010, le tre ragazze, SU-METAL, YUIMETAL e MOAMETAL, hanno una missione: unire il mondo attraverso l’Heavy Metal. Ad aiutarle alcuni dei musicisti più raffinati del metal giapponese e KOBAMETAL, il personaggio che sta dietro BABYMETAL sin dagli esordi.
Ma attenzione , Babymetal non è solo un esordio tonificante dalle melodie gloriose , è anche una chiara dichiarazione di intenti che sovverte le regole del pop e del metal e le miscela in un vortice di euforia e di energia .
L’album omonimo è un esplosione di fragoroso metal moderno mischiato a melodie pop kawaii martellanti.
L’abum sarà disponibile su CD e in edizione limitata CD+DVD. Entrambe le versioni includono due bonus track: ‘Gimme Chocolate!!’(ripreso dalla performance alla O2 Academy Brixton di Londra) e ‘Road of Resistance’ (dove troviamo Herman Li e Sam Totman dei Dragonforce). Il DVD contiene tutti i video della band.
Il successo delle BABYMETAL in Giappone si traduce con 10 singoli nella top 10, la partecipazione ai festival più importanti incluso il Summer Sonic e due serate consecutive sold out a Tokyo al leggendario Budokan di fronte a 20,000 persone.
La loro reputazione ha varcato i confini per arrivare negli Stati Uniti e in Europa. Basti pensare che i video contano fino 25 milioni di visualizzazioni . Questo numero dimostra quanto siano diventate un fenomeno mondiale. Apprezzate dai fan di metal ma anche da chi ha trascorsi più pop, le BABYMETAL hanno intrapreso il loro primo tour mondiale per toccare luoghi sacri come il Sonisphere festival di Knebworth (65.000 persone davanti a loro e in passato band come Led Zeppelin, Queen e Deep Purple) o seguire Lady Gaga (invitate direttamente dall’icona pop) nel The Artpop Ball tour USA.
“Sonisphere was an amazing experience, because it was the first time we’d played in front of such a huge audience!” an ecstatic SU-METAL told UK magazine Metal Hammer. “When I walked out I thought ‘Oh no, what am I going to do?’ but it was such a great experience. With Japanese fans, because we understand each other, they join in with the chanting and the call and response. What’s amazing with the UK fans is that even though they don’t understand the language, they still sing along with everything! And they also did the Fox sign which was wonderful to see!”
