I prog rocker HAKEN sono entusiasti di annunciare l’uscita del loro nuovo singolo “Nightingale”. Il singolo è la prima registrazione in studio dall’uscita di “Virus” e dal ritorno del tastierista Pete Jones.

Il commento della band:
“‘Nightingale’ è il primo pezzo che Pete Jones ha presentato alla band dopo essere tornato negli Haken quest’anno. L’idea iniziale si è mescolata perfettamente al classico sound Haken, evolvendosi in un nuovo territorio armonico. La canzone spazia da momenti delicati a riff mostruosi.
Abbiamo arruolato Jens Bogren per il mix e come sempre ci ha spazzato via catturando ogni dettaglio, amplificandone energia e potenza. Non potremmo essere più felici del prodotto finito.
Liricamente la canzone riflette sul processo creativo stesso; dobbiamo ricordarci di essere grati per gli aspetti positivi della vita, siano essi grandi o piccoli.”

Nel mese di marzo la band ha annunciato i dettagli iniziali di “Nightingale”, oltre a tenere un concorso per i fan in cui si chiedeva di presentare la propria opera d’arte originale per il prossimo singolo. L’opera vincitrice scelta dalla band stessa è del belga Rein Van Oyen, può essere vista qui sotto.

The band was recently forced to announce the postponement of their European tour dates, with new dates soon to be announced. Their upcoming North American tour begins with ‘Cruise to the Edge’ leaving port on 2nd May, followed by an expansive trek alongside Symphony X set to go ahead starting 10th May, 2022 in New York City, running through the month and ending 12th June in New Jersey.
