Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater): annuncia il suo nuovo album da solista “Permission to Fly”, disponibile il nuovo singolo “The Alchemist”

Il tastierista dei Dream Theater JORDAN RUDESS è lieto di annunciare il suo nuovo album solista, “Permission To Fly”, in uscita il 6 settembre 2024 su Inside Out Music. Jordan non è affatto estraneo alla sperimentazione ed è noto anche per aver spinto oltre ogni limite i propri confini creativi, sonici e tecnologici. Questo suo ultimo lavoro incarna perfettamente questo spirito, scavando nella complessità dell’esistenza umana all’interno del nostro mondo multiforme.
Il commento di Jordan Rudess:
“L’essenza dell’album è profondamente ispirata dagli eventi drammatici degli ultimi due anni, con motivi di pace e anti-violenza che si intrecciano in molte delle canzoni.
Tutti i testi dell’album sono stati scritti da mia figlia, Ariana. Anche se mi piace scrivere i testi, il mio obiettivo principale è la qualità sonora delle parole. Per questo album, ho voluto approfondire e offrire qualcosa che risuonava su un livello più profondo e cerebrale. Ari ha fatto un lavoro eccezionale.“
In occasione di questo annuncio l’artista americano presenta il nuovo singolo “The Alchemist” assieme a un video realizzato da Wayne Joyner:
Al contrario dei precedenti lavori prettamente solisti qui troviamo Rudess assieme a un gruppo selezionato di musicisti, per supportare ed elevare a un altro livello la sua visione. Al microfono troviamo Joe Payne, alla batteria Darby Todd (Devin Townsend), alla chitarra Steve Dadaian e come ospite speciale per la chitarra solista Bastian Martinez.
Con la musica in mani adeguate, Rudess ha voluto assicurarsi di dare ai testi la giusta attenzione. Per questo si è rivolto a una fonte vicina a casa, sua figlia.
