Jordan Rudess: guarda il video del nuovo singolo “Shadow of the Moon”

Il leggendario tastierista dei Dream Theater JORDAN RUDESS ha recentemente annunciato che il suo nuovo album solista, “Permission To Fly”, sarà pubblicato il 6 settembre 2024 su Inside Out Music. Non estraneo alla sperimentazione, Rudess è noto per la sua capacità di spingersi oltre i confini creativi, sonori e tecnologici. La sua ultima fatica, incarna questo ethos, scavando nelle complessità dell’esistenza umana all’interno del nostro mondo sfaccettato.
Oggi, in collaborazione con Lightricks, Jordan è lieto di presentare il video musicale del nuovo singolo “Shadow Of The Moon”. Lightricks ha organizzato un concorso invitando i content creator a presentare concept unici di video musicali per la canzone di Jordan. Il regista vincitore, Manny Walker, è stato trasportato su un set all’avanguardia in Serbia, dove gli è stata data l’opportunità di co-dirigere il video insieme al team di Lightricks, dando vita alla sua personale visione. “Creare il video ‘Shadow Of The Moon’ con Lightricks è stata un’esperienza incredibile. Lavorare con un team così talentuoso e con il vincitore del concorso e utilizzare il nuovo software all’avanguardia LTX di Lightricks, ha dato vita alla mia visione in modi che non avrei mai potuto immaginare. Questa collaborazione dimostra quanto sia potente combinare la musica con una narrazione visiva innovativa.”
Al contrario dei precedenti lavori prettamente solisti qui troviamo Rudess assieme a un gruppo selezionato di musicisti, per supportare ed elevare a un altro livello la sua visione. Al microfono troviamo Joe Payne, alla batteria Darby Todd (Devin Townsend), alla chitarra Steve Dadaian e come ospite speciale per la chitarra solista Bastian Martinez.
Con la musica in mani adeguate, Rudess ha voluto assicurarsi di dare ai testi la giusta attenzione. Per questo si è rivolto a una fonte vicina a casa, sua figlia.
