Long Distance Calling: il video della title-track del nuovo album “Eraser”

I LONG DISTANCE CALLING pubblicheranno il loro nuovo album “Eraser” il 26 agosto 2022, debutto per l’etichetta tedesca earMUSIC. La band presenta il video della title-track:

Il singolo “Eraser” rappresenta la specie umana che è sia causa che vittima del cambiamento climatico. In un capolavoro lungo più di 9 minuti in due atti, l’album sembra finire in una sonora devastazione al rallentatore, concludendo con una scintilla di speranza, anche se è quasi troppo tardi.
Il video è stato realizzato in collaborazione con Greenpeace la quale ha fornito parti del girato. Una perfetta realizzazione visiva del ruolo dell’uomo sia in veste di oppressore della natura che come vittima delle proprie azioni.

L’ottavo album di LONG DISTANCE CALLING Eraser è un tributo diretto e intimo alla graduale distruzione della natura da parte dell’uomo. La band ha dedicato l’album alle specie in via di estinzione del mondo, con ogni canzone che rappresenta una particolare specie sotto minacciata.

With a reputation as a formidable and dynamic live band, not least due to multiple European tours and high-profile festival appearances, LONG DISTANCE CALLING have been developing towards a crescendo of their artistry for some time now. In 2020, despite being unable to hit the road, the band released their seventh and most absorbing full-length to date, “How Do We Want To Live?” which charted at 7 in the German Album Charts. An intricate but deeply satisfying concept piece, it showcased the ongoing expansion of the LONG DISTANCE CALLING sound, and received widespread plaudits as a result. Unable to take their new music directly to the people this time around, they instead decided to throw themselves enthusiastically into the creative process all over again. The end result of all that creativity is surely destined to be one of the great progressive records of the year.
