Riot V: a febbraio il nuovo album “Mean Streets”; guarda il lyric video del primo singolo

I titani dell’heavy metal statunitense RIOT (V) stanno finalmente per tornare con un nuovo album in studio intitolato “Mean Streets”, in uscita il 16 febbraio 2024 per Atomic Fire Records! Il disco contiene dodici brani registrati e mixati da Bruno Ravel e masterizzati da Bart Gabriel. L’artwork è stato realizzato da Gyula Havancsák (Accept, Stratovarius, Brainstorm) che ha catturato abilmente lo stile galoppante del nuovo materiale senza perdere il sigillo della band. Oggi, in vista dell’uscita, la band pubblica il primo singolo del disco, “High Noon”.

Il bassista Donnie Van Stavern commenta: “Siamo estremamente entusiasti di pubblicare il nostro diciassettesimo disco dei RIOT, Mean Streets, con la potente etichetta Atomic Fire Records! Siamo tornati un po’ alle origini con alcuni brani hard rock e, naturalmente, power metal. Il nostro nuovo video pre-release “High Noon” è una canzone che ho scritto pensando al [defunto chitarrista fondatore] Mark Reale; lui amava il vecchio West e ha scritto canzoni su di esso (“Restless Breed”, “Gunfighter”) e la musica è una reminiscenza di Thundersteel e The Privilege Of Power! Godetevi, guerrieri del metal, altre meraviglie sono in arrivo!”.

Aggiunge il cantante Todd Michael Hall: “Sono davvero entusiasta che la gente ascolti Mean Streets. Ci stiamo evolvendo bene, con un piede radicato nel passato e uno puntato verso il futuro”.
