Vomit Forth: il video del nuovo singolo “Negative Penance”

I VOMIT FORTH hanno presentato il nuovo singolo “Negative Penance”, accompagnato da un videoclip ufficiale. Si tratta del terzo singolo estratto dal loro prossimo album, “Terrified Of God”, in uscita l’11 ottobre 2024 per Century Media Records. Nel profondo inverno dell’inizio del 2024 la band si è recata in una baita nei boschi del New Jersey con Randy Leboeuf, che ha registrato, mixato, masterizzato e prodotto l’album. Il processo di registrazione, durato un mese, ha portato alla realizzazione di dodici tracce da urlo.
“Negative Penance” è uno dei momenti più brutali di “Terrified Of God”, caratterizzato da chitarre frenetiche e da un intenso lavoro di batteria. Il vocalist Kane Gelaznik mostra la sua abilità nel passare con facilità da una voce strozzata a strilli imprecanti, fino a una pronuncia più diretta. Guarda il video:

“‘Negative Penance’ parla della nostra incapacità di ritenere noi stessi responsabili. Non riusciamo a lavare via il proverbiale ‘sangue’ dalle nostre mani, per quanto ci proviamo. Nell’epoca attuale siamo talmente ossessionati da noi stessi, e questa ossessione è solo confermata dal fatto che tutti possiamo essere la nostra celebrità preferita, che non riusciamo a distinguere tra ciò che è reale e ciò che ci fa sentire bene. Vogliamo risolvere i nostri problemi? O vogliamo farli continuare così da poter trasmettere costantemente quanto siamo giusti nel riconoscerli?”

Formed in 2017, Vomit Forth set out to champion their influences from Internal Bleeding and Suffocation to Deicide, while eschewing the overall genre expectations of death metal at the time. Vomit Forth broke out in 2018 with their demo, then teamed up with Maggot Stomp who packaged the offering plus two additional songs into the band’s debut LP, Northeastern Deprivation. The band followed it in 2022, joining their current label home Century Media Records to release their sophomore album Seething Malevolence. The lauded record demonstrated the band’s dedication to a truly terrifying and singular brand of death metal.
A willingness to explore and incorporate influences from across a wide sonic landscape has always set Vomit Forth apart from their metal peers, and Terrified Of God is here to solidify the band as a mainstay act in the metal community. The band’s live show is just as punishing as the record, and with an upcoming tour supporting The Black Dahlia Murder and Dying Fetus, more audiences will witness Vomit Forth’s violent attack.
